Was there as a guest for a wedding. Beautiful place and everything was top notch.

Cherokee Country Club is beautiful, the staff is great, and everything feels first-class, but I need to talk about the smell inside. I have no idea what they are using in that clubhouse, but it smells incredible. I walked in expecting golf and somehow ended up breathing like I had just entered a luxury spa. The place looks great, the atmosphere is excellent, and apparently someone on staff has made it their personal mission to create the best-smelling country club in Knoxville. Honestly, I almost forgot why I was there. Five stars for the club. Six stars for whoever is in charge of the scent.

Beware to any members who eat here, the only real cleaning only happens once a year when they shut down in January. The walk in fridges and freezers probably still have black mold lining the shelves and walls and ceilings, and most likely the ducts as well. The cleaning schedule was abysmal, having only one person to clean all the fridges by themself with minimal supplies offered to aid in the process of said cleaning, which was way too much work to be properly handled by one person. Is that the kind of environment you want to be eating, let alone your family members? I know the membership isn't cheap, I honestly would've expected better from a hundred plus year old club. Do better.
